Elizabeth "Libby" Mooney

Elizabeth "Libby" Mooney, 85, of Reynoldsburg, died Wednesday (March 11, 2009) at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, Columbus. She was born Aug. 24, 1923, in Cambridge, daughter of the late William E. Gibson and Olgia (Dunning) Gibson. Ms. Mooney retired from Hills Floral Co., Columbus, following several years of service. She was a graduate of Cambridge High School. She enjoyed word-finds, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, William and Richard Gibson. She leaves two sons, John (Nancy) Mooney, Mesa, Ariz., and Tom (Bev) Mooney, St. Charles, Ill.; two daughters, Rebecca Mooney (Don Wolcott), Reynoldsburg, and Christine(Larry) Hobbs, Sunbury; two brothers, Harold Gibson, Cambridge, and Tom (Coke) Gibson, Pekin, Ill.; three sisters, Helen(Ralph) Campbell, Edie Simpson and Susie Gibson, all of Cambridge; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces, and nephews. No calling hours will be observed. Funeral services will be held on Saturday (March 21, 2009) at 10:30 a.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
