Elsie Gail Siegfried, 89, of Cambridge, died Saturday (February 10, 2007) at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. She was born February 19, 1917 in Zanesville, daughter of the late William Brock and Minnie (Geyer) Brock. Mrs. Siegfried retired in 1985 after serving for thirty years as a cook for Cambridge City Schools. She enjoyed cooking, reading, crocheting and word search puzzles. She loved spending time with her children. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church of Cambridge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Goldie Brock; and a brother-in-law, Herb Oakley. She leaves her husband, Charles Barr Siegfried, whom she married September 5, 1936; a son, Charles Dallas "Corky" (& Carolyn) Siegfried of Cambridge; two brothers, William (& Jean) Brock of Circleville and Ralph Brock of Cambridge; a sister, Jenetta Oakley of Cambridge; five grandchildren, Cathy Cale, Elisa Waite, Rochelle Vincent, Kurtis Siegfried and Kristopher Siegfried; fourteen great-grandchildren; an expected great-great-grandchild; and several nieces & nephews. Family and friends may call on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will be held on Tuesday (February 13, 2007) at 1 p.m. with Pastor Mick Foster officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
