Elsie L. Lashley, 88, of Buffalo, died Saturday (August 2, 2008) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. She was born on September 6, 1919 in Quaker City, daughter of the late Albert Sharrock and Estella (Shuman) Sharrock. Mrs. Lashley was a homemaker. She was a member of the Quaker City Central Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur B. Lashley, who died on August 26, 1987. She leaves a daughter, Sharon Lashley of Buffalo; two step-daughters, Vernetta (& Richard) Wilson of Cumberland and Lenora LaFever of Quaker City; a sister, Mabel Cumberlidge of Cambridge; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City, where services will be held on Monday (August 4, 2008) at 11 a.m. with Rev. Oscar Brown officiating. Burial will be at Friends Cemetery, Quaker City.
