Emma Ruth Light

Emma Ruth Light, 74, of Cambridge, died Monday (June 4, 2007) at The Ohio State University Medical Center - Ross Center, Columbus. She was born on August 4, 1932 in New Matamoras, daughter of the late Harry Kiggans and Lera (Adams) Kiggans. Mrs. Light was a TPW Aide at the former Cambridge State Hospital for 25 years. She was Protestant by faith. Mrs. Light attended Brown High School. She enjoyed her flowers, bird watching and working crossword puzzles. She cherished time spent with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Light, who died in 1972; and two brothers, Harry Kiggans Jr. and Paul Kiggans. She leaves two sons, David Dickson and Miles (& Linda) Light of Senecaville; a daughter, Shelia Halsey of Zanesville; five brothers, William Kiggans, Dwight Kiggans, Raeford Kiggans, Skip Kiggans and Kenny Kiggans; four sisters, Helen Burris, June Ann Adams, Mary Lou Richardson and Barb Freeman; seven grandchildren, Paul Dickson, Angela Hanning, Joshua Halsey, Amanda Light, Elizabeth Halsey, Andrea Halsey and Shawn Light; six great-grandchildren, Corey Hanning, Jonah Evans, Tristan Halsey, Sean Ruebush, Kali Ruebush and Kimmie Jarvis; a great-great-grandchild, Shane Hamilton; and several nieces & nephews. Family and friends may call on Thursday (June 7, 2007) from 6 to 7 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will follow at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd, Suite 1010, Rockville MD 20852.
