Erma I. Sestina

May 17, 1925 — April 21, 2018

Erma I. Sestina, 92, of Byesville, died Saturday (April 21, 2018) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge.

She was born May 17, 1925 in Guernsey County, daughter of the late George Minich and Mary (Fontilla) Minich.

Erma retired from Mr. Lee's Restaurant where she worked as a cook.

She was a member of Christ Our Light Parish. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed puzzles and was a #1 Cincinnati Reds fan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael G. Sestina, who died Sept. 3, 1991; five brothers, George, John, Michael, Albert and Ervin.

She is survived by a son, Michael Sestina of Huntsville, Alabama; four daughters, Adrienne (Chuck) Casagrande of Venice, Florida, Ermelinda (Stan) Irvin of Xenia, Regina (John) Young of Senecaville and Jonella (Ted) Carpenter of Cuyahoga Falls, seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday (April 24, 2018) from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church (Christ Our Light Parish), Cambridge.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday (April 25, 2018) at St. Benedict Catholic Church (Christ Our Light Parish), Cambridge with Father Paul Hrezo officiating.

Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville.
