Ernest E. "Ernie" Galbreath, 50, of Cambridge, died Thursday (October 18, 2007) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. He was born on February 23, 1957 in Cambridge, son of the late Eldon E. Galbreath and Nancy K. (McIntyre) Galbreath. Mr. Galbreath was a former construction worker who became permanently disabled in a work-related accident approximately ten years ago. Before becoming disabled, he had served in the United States Army and also enjoyed golfing, bowling and motorcycling. After his accident, he enjoyed spending time with his son and other family members & friends. He loved going to car shows. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents. He leaves a son, Joseph Galbreath of Cambridge; two brothers, Thomas (& June) Galbreath of Cambridge and David (& Darla) Galbreath of New Concord; three sisters, Debra McGath, Nancy Galbreath and Jackie (& Jim) Mead all of Cambridge; nieces and nephews, Rhonda (& Dan) Sherfy of North Carolina, Teresa (& Jay) Webb of Kimbolton, Tom (& Chris) Galbreath of Cambridge, Barbara (& Jim) Johns of Virginia, Marsha Galbreath of Zanesville; Robert (& Rachel) Showalter of Pleasant City, Christina Showalter of Cambridge, Travis (& Wen) McGath of Columbus, Jeff Leeson of Macksburg and Adam Galbreath of New Concord; and his nurse, Joe Kane and his other caregivers. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will be held on Monday (October 22, 2007) at 11 a.m. with Rev. Carl Keefer officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
