Ernie "Buck" Mchenry

Ernie "Buck" McHenry, 58, of Cambridge, died Sunday (January 12, 2014) surrounded by his family at the home of his sister, after an extended illness. He was born September 15, 1955 in Cambridge, son of the late Joseph Edward McHenry Sr. and Virginia (Wolfe) McHenry. He worked in the oil field industry and also did various other odd jobs. Buck enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends George Hardy, Jeff Dunbar, Jeff Smalley, Mike Smalley, Chris McHenry, and his nephew, Justin Shaver. He enjoyed drinking and playing cards with his family and friends. He would give anyone the shirt off his back. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Edward McHenry Jr. He is survived by a brother, Harry McHenry of Cambridge; six sisters, Rose Mann of Las Vegas NV, Shirley McHenry (& Clifford Graham) of Cambridge, Annie Calvert (& Jeff Dunbar) of Cambridge, Maggie (& Randle) Money of Cambridge, Susan Lloyd of Columbus, and Barb Hudson (& Roy Hardy) of Cambridge - who was his caregiver, along with her daughter, Heather Vickers and Blake Mayle. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and his very close friend, Larry Huston. No calling hours will be observed. Per his wishes, a cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Tuesday (January 14, 2014) by the family.
