Eugene B. Earley, 75, of Cambridge, died Thursday (Oct. 10, 2013) at Southeastern Med, Cambridge. He was born Jan. 10, 1938, in Cambridge, son of the late Fred Moore and Helen Beatrice Earley. Mr. Earley retired from Foster-Foltz Trucking, as a truck driver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Earley; and a cousin, Lillian Truman. He is survived by his wife, Doris (Grant) Earley of South Carolina; three son, Dion Earley, Bobby (Jennifer) Earley and Michael (Angie) Earley, all of Cambridge; four daughters, Jeannie Earley, Serena Earley and Cathy Earley, all of Cambridge, Christina Earley-Logwood of Columbus; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; five stepchildren, Alice Hardy, Nancy Hardy, Sarah Ann Phillips, Dickie Hardy and Ernest Joe Phillips, all of Cambridge; long time companion, Betty Hardy; long time friends, Dump Ford and Rigal Drake; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct 22 at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Randolph White officiating. Burial will follow in Northwood Cemetery.
