Evelyn Perkins, 59, of Quaker City, died on Monday (July 30, 2007) at her home. She was born in the Philippines on September 21, 1947, daughter of Richard E. Griffin and the late Lilia (Nepamosanto) Griffin. Mrs. Perkins was a licensed beautician. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Perkins was a member of the Quaker City Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford A. Perkins, who died on January 13, 2004 and whom she married on March 12, 1972. She leaves her father, Richard E. Griffin of Grove City; two sons, Ryan Perkins and Richard Perkins, both of Quaker City; two daughters, Marsha Wolschleger and Donna Perkins, both of Cleveland; three brothers, Ben Celones of Florida, Larry Griffin of Sunbury and David Griffin of Wyoming; two sisters, Mary Lou Ryan of Texas and Lilia Shoemaker of Centerville; and three grandchildren, Jaime, Jacob and Julie. Friends and family may call on Saturday (August 4, 2007) from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Quaker City Baptist Church, where services will follow at 4 p.m. with Pastor Larry Jellison officiating. In keeping with the wishes of Mrs. Perkins, her body was donated to the Ohio University Willed Body Program. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family at P.O. Box 18, Quaker City OH 43773.
