Evelyn H. Scott

October 25, 1925 — January 21, 2009

Evelyn H. Scott, 83, of Delaware and formerly of Cambridge, passed away Wednesday (January 21, 2009) at the Willow Brook Christian Village Nursing Home, Delaware. She was born on October 25, 1925 in Edinburgh Scotland, daughter of the late Magnus Sinclair and Elizabeth (Cummings) Sinclair. She married Robert P. Scott on January 31, 1948. Mrs. Scott was a homemaker. Mrs. Scott volunteered many hours with the American Red Cross and also at the hospital. She was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Cambridge, and a member of the Alpha Omega Circle of the church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, who passed away on May 31, 1991; and a sister, Betty. She leaves two sons, R. Bruce (& Peggy) Scott of Plain City and Paul O. (& Mary Anne) Scott of Columbus; two daughters, Leslie (& Jim) Southern of Columbus and Debra (& John) Long of Sacramento CA; two brothers, Bruce Sinclair and Norrie Sinclair both of England; five grandchildren, Adam (& Amber) Scott, Jared Scott, Katie Scott, Kassie Kee and Kasey Kee; and several nieces & nephews. Family and friends may call on Friday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. Funeral services will be held on Saturday (January 24, 2009) at 11 a.m. at the 1st Presbyterian Church of Cambridge with Rev. Bill Johnson and Rev. Mike Seely officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Passages, c/o Willow Brook Christian Village Nursing Home, 100 Willow Brook Way S, Delaware OH 43015.
