F. Lee Rausch

F. Lee Rausch, 75, of Cambridge, died Thursday (March 23, 2017) at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 16, 1941 in Dover, son of the late Leroy Adam Rausch and Sarah Elizabeth (Banks) Rausch. Mr. Rausch began his teaching career in Rolling Hills School District from 1963 to 1970. He was a Director at the Muskingum Area Joint Vocational School. Mr. Rausch retired from Cambridge City Schools after thirty-four years of service. He was a member of the Ninth Street United Methodist Church. Mr. Rausch earned his bachelor's degree from Ohio Northern and his master's degree from The Ohio State University in 1970. His field of study was in vocational supervision and directing. He also earned his superintendent's certification. He was a member of the Retired Teachers Association of Ohio. He was also a member of the Moose and the Eagles. He is survived by three daughters, Lynette (& Jack) Tipton of Cambridge, Anita Rausch of Byesville, and Kristen (& Wayne) Martin of Redondo Beach CA; three sons, Todd Sharp, Matt Sharp, and Adam Sharp; two sisters, Susan Grossman of St. Petersburg FL and Maryann Polly Geiger of Norwalk; five grandchildren, Sierra (& Matt) Miller, Michael Haynes, Timothy Haynes, Kohler Tipton, and Lindsay Tipton; and two great-grandsons, Easton Alfman and Wyatt Lee Miller. Visitation will be held Monday (March 27, 2017) from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held Tuesday (March 28, 2017) at 11 a.m. with Pastor Bob Hollins officiating. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Guernsey Inc., PO Box 1165, Cambridge OH 43725.
