Florence Eva Hackney

Florence Eva Hackney, 86, of Cambridge, died Wednesday (March 1, 2017) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. She was born February 9, 1931 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Raymond and Bertha (Secrest) Hackney. Miss Hackney had worked at Guernsey Industries for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters. She is survived by several nieces and nephews; her many friends at Guernsey Industries, the Guernsey County Board of MRDD, and the caring staff at Guernsey Residential; and her special friends, Patti Perkins and Charity Rambo, with whom she shared a home. Visitation will be held Friday (March 10, 2017) from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. Burial will be at Buffalo Cemetery, Buffalo.
