Floyd R. Benefiel Sr.

Floyd R. Benefiel Sr., 68, of Cambridge, died Tuesday (May 26, 2015) at his home. He was born March 13, 1947 in Vandalia IL, son of the late Claude Benefiel and Mildred (Causey) Benefiel. Mr. Benefiel was a self-employed auto body repairman. He loved Harleys, cars, and wheeling & dealing. He was Baptist by faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eight brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Maguran) Benefiel; five daughters, Margaret, Mindy (& Cameron), Anita (& Butch), Tina, and Mary (& Roger); four sons, Floyd Jr. (& Barla), Frank, Daril, and Ricky (& Debbie); two sisters, Judy (& Larry) and Irene (& Chris); nineteen grandchildren, including a special grandson, Brian Stewart; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held Saturday (June 6, 2015) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where a memorial service will follow beginning at 4 p.m.
