Frances Leona Jones, 89, of Winterset, died Thursday (October 10, 2013) at Kindred of Cambridge. She was born December 10, 1923 in Winterset, daughter of the late Edgar B. Tedrick and Gladys (Dean) Tedrick. Mrs. Jones worked at Salt Fork Lodge. She also worked at Hamilton Beech for ten years. She was a member of the Winterset United Methodist Church. She enjoyed staying home and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She also enjoyed word searches and latch-hooking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Curtis Jones; a brother, Charles Tedrick; and a grandson, Scott Alan Jones. She is survived by two sons, Ronald Henry of Winterset and Kenneth Jones of South Zanesville; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Pyle of Winterset; two sisters-in-law, Becky Tedrick of Cambridge and Lois Stewart of New Philadelphia; two grandchildren, Mandy Gibson and Melinda (& Brad) Philips; four great-grandchildren, Macey, Dalton, Tressa, and Jackson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to sincerely thank all those at Kindred of Cambridge who helped care for Frances. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held Monday (October 14, 2013) at 11 a.m. with Pastor David Mansperger officiating. Burial will be at the Antrim Presbyterian Cemetery on State Route 513. As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Winterset United Methodist Church, 17074 Cadiz Road, Lore City OH 43755.
