Francis Leroy Morris Jr.

Francis Leroy Morris Jr., 84, of Cambridge, died on Tuesday (April 4, 2017) surrounded by his family.

He was born October 2, 1932 in Salesville, son of the late Francis Leroy Morris Sr. and Eula Helen (Perkins) Morris.

Mr. Morris was a factory worker and tradesman for numerous employers throughout his lifetime.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Winland and Herman I. Morris; a brother-in-law, Roy Wolfe; and a sister-in-law, Joan Morris.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Eileen (Speakman) Morris, whom he married March 17, 1973; his children, Michael Leroy (& Maria Paz) Morris of Cambridge, Judy Kay McKim of Cambridge, Trudy Renee (& Keith) Scherer of Zanesville, Daniel Lee Morris (& Clyde Mcculloch) of Lebanon TN, Ronda Lynn (& Matt) Casterline of Cambridge and Laura May (& Steve) Roudebush of Cambridge; a sister, Evelyn Jane Wolfe of Cambridge; a brother, Gary Wayne Morris of Senecaville; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Ardith Winland of Salesville; and special friends, Brian and Kim Jarrett of Byesville.

Visitation will be held Thursday (April 6, 2017) from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, and also on Friday (April 7, 2017) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Floyd Atkinson officiating.

Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
