Frank Joseph Groza Jr.

Frank J. Groza Jr., 61, of Byesville, passed away Wednesday (July 2, 2014) at his home. He was born May 1, 1953, in Martins Ferry, son of the late Frank J. and Frances C. (Hodor) Groza Sr. Mr. Groza retired from Colgate-Palmolive as head of maintenance, having worked there since its first day of operation. He was a 1971 graduate of Cambridge High School and attended Ohio University. Frank was said to be able to build or fix anything. He was a master at building model planes and trains. He also enjoyed restoring antique cars. He is survived by two daughters, Jenelle (David) Lilly of Quaker City and Stacy (Luke) Davis of Gahanna; a son, Adam (Cayla) Groza of Zanesville; four grandchildren, Kobe Shade, Benjamin Lilly, Sadie Lilly and Ellison Groza; a sister, Mary Groza Schuetz of Columbus; a niece and nephew, Beth Moore and Bryan Schuetz. Calling hours will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 7 at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge.
