Frank B. Jirles

Frank B. Jirles, 93, of Cambridge, died Monday (October 31, 2011) at the Cambridge Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was born March 8, 1918 in Cambridge, son of the late Robert D. Jirles and Anna M. (Bell) Jirles. Mr. Jirles retired from the former Cambridge State Hospital, where he had been an LPN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia (Warne) Jirles; three sisters, Mary Pozo, Verna Andrew, and Pearl McCollum; and three brothers, Ralph, Bob, and Samuel. He is survived by a son, Gary (& Cheryl) Jirles of Cambridge; a daughter, Janice Sue Pavlik of Cambridge; a brother, Gilbert Jirles of Burleson TX; four grandchildren, Christine (& Gavin) Armstrong, Jeff (& Leslie) Jirles, Elizabeth (& Brad) Eaton, and Sara (& Travis) Morgan; and nine great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held on Friday (November 4, 2011) at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
