Frederick P. Gress

Frederick P. Gress, 76, of Pleasant City, died Saturday (November 5, 2016) at the Beckett House at New Concord. He was born March 30, 1940 in Pleasant City, son of the late Paul Gress and Wava (Morgan) Gress. Mr. Gress was a truck driver for Kaplan Trucking of Cleveland. He was Lutheran by faith. Mr. Gress was a 1958 graduate of Pleasant City High School. He is survived by three sons, Frederick Paul (& Nancy) Gress of Cambridge, Shannon (& Lori) Gress of Byesville, and Ryan (& Kristina) Gress of Granville; three daughters, Lorie (& Jeff) McCabe of Powell, Lisa Jeffery of Cambridge, and Lois Gress of Cincinnati; two brothers, Bill (& Linda) Gress of Pleasant City and James (& Elaine) Gress of Paulding; thirteen grandchildren; a great-grandson; and his lifelong friends, Stanley Wells of Pleasant City and Dick Vorhies of Cambridge. No calling hours will be observed. Private graveside services will be held for the family with burial at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
