Gary Jason Marlatt

Gary Jason Marlatt, 44, of Cambridge, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023, at his son's house.

Gary was born August 15, 1978, in Cambridge, Ohio, a son to the late Debbie Marlatt.

He enjoyed mudding, fishing, hunting, camping, demolition derbies, cooking on the grill, and spending time with his family, especially his kids. He played football for the Cambridge Bobcats and was an avid watcher of both the Cambridge Bobcats and Dallas Cowboys.

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by one sister Carrie Lynn Marlatt, his maternal grandparents Fern and John Marlatt, and two grandchildren.

Gary is survived by one son Lane Marlatt of Byesville, one daughter Ashton Marlatt of Byesville, two brothers Chris (& Jamie) Hughes of Cambridge, Cliff (& Trudy) Burt of Cambridge, three sisters Becky (& Mike) Smalley of Cambridge, Ashley (& Kevin) Heskett of New Concord, and Brooke (& Heather) LaRocco of Salesville, and his second parents, Herschel and Bertie Watson. Also left to cherish his memory are the love of his life, Chrissie Marlatt, Special friends, John Ingram Jr, Chris Gebhart, Shawn Mobolonen, Jason Knaup, Jay Lawerence, and James Stewart and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of life held at a later date.
