George James Brown Jr.

George James Brown Jr., 76, of Cambridge, died Saturday (October 16, 2021) at Embassy Health Care of Cambridge.

He was born June 22, 1945 in Columbus, son of the late George James Brown Sr. and Majel Brown.

He was raised by his beloved father George James Brown Sr. and mother Marlene Brown Sheridan.

He enjoyed astronomy and higher mathematics.

Mr. Brown was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his mother, Marlene Brown Sheridan of Nashville TN; two brothers, James A. Brown of Columbus and Gregory (Tracy) Schwartzmiller of Dover DE; three sisters, Rebecca (Joseph) Catey of Columbus, Melanie Scott of Nashville TN, and Conni (Michael) Wisnyai of Milledgeville GA; and many nieces & nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dominique and Nicole for their help and care given to George.

A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville, on Wednesday (October 20, 2021) at 11 a.m. with Pastor Nancy Parsons officiating.
