George Thomas "Tom" Williamson Jr., 64, of Cambridge, died Wednesday (January 12, 2011) at his home after a brief illness. He was born April 4, 1946 in Cambridge, son of the late George Thom Williamson and Alyce Isabelle (Addis) Williamson. Mr. Williamson was a union laborer for Zanesville Local #530. He loved working on old trucks, taking care of his yard, and going to flea markets. He was passionate about Harley Davidson motorcycles, especially his own "Boss Hoss" trike. He was a member of the Cambridge VFW Post 2901 and the Loyal Order of the Moose # 631. He was a 1964 graduate of John Glenn High School. Mr. Williamson was a US Army veteran, having served from 1966 to 1968. He is survived by a son, Shane Williamson (& Rona Huff) of Piedmont; a daughter, Shannon (& Rob) Rickeart of New Concord; a brother, David (& Peggy) Williamson of Cambridge; two sisters, Ann (& Dick) Preston of Cambridge and Becky Coulter of Cambridge; four grandchildren, Courtney Williamson, Joshua Williamson, Mackenzie Rickeart, and Madison Rickeart; two great-grandchildren, Zyler and Kaelyn Williamson; three dear friends, Linda Williamson of Quaker City, Debbie Daugherty of Canton, and Donna of Cambridge; and the mother of his children, Judi Smith of New Concord. Family and friends may call on Friday (January 14, 2011) from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where a funeral service will follow at 7 p.m.
