George L. Wilson

George L. Wilson, 61, of Lore City, died Sunday (December 6, 2020) at his home.

He was born January 3, 1959 in Cambridge, son of the late George L. Wilson and Maxine (Luyster) Wilson.

Mr. Wilson was a 1977 graduate of Madison High School and the Guernsey-Noble Vocational School.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Barnesville.

He enjoyed playing guitar and his wood-working projects.  He cherished spending time with his grandchildren as they played.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marsha (Mourer) Wilson, whom he married June 18, 1983; a son, Robby (Chelsea) Wilson of Lore City; a daughter, Jill (Shane) Roe of Cambridge; his brother, Bob (Brenda) Wilson; his other brothers, Donnie (Sandy) Mourer, Chuck (Marty) Mourer, Bill (Brenda) Mourer, Tim Mourer, and Wayne (Pam) Mourer; two sisters, Connie Harris and Nancy Wilson; his other sisters, Wanda (Ronnie) Colvin and Wanita (Mark) Oliver; four grandchildren, Addison, Ellie, Mason, and Peyton – to whom he loved to the moon and back; and a special cousin he loved dearly, Susan Luyster Baker.

No calling hours will be observed.

Graveside services and burial will be held at Flat Ridge Cemetery on Wednesday (December 9, 2020) at 1 p.m. with Pastor Rodney West officiating.
