Gilbert J. Barczak

Gilbert J. Barczak, 81, of Cambridge, died Tuesday (May 26, 2020) at Morrison House, Zanesville.

He was born September 12, 1938 in Bay City MI, son of the late Joseph Barczak and Rose Barczak.

Mr. Barczak was a floor worker for Federal Mogul/Champion for many years.

He was a member of Christ Our Light Parish.

Mr. Barczak was a US Army veteran.

He was a member of the Republican Club, Cambridge VFW, Cambridge Eagles, and the Guernsey County Senior Citizens Center. He was also a volunteer with The St. Vincent DePaul Society of Christ Our Light Parish.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Barczak; and two brothers, Dwayne Barczak and Virgil Barczak.

He is survived by his wife, Maria (DelCarmen) Barczak; two stepsons, Jose Angel Cuellar of Monterrey, Mexico and Louis Alberto Cuellar (Maria Del Lourdes) of Monterrey, Mexico; and a brother, Ernest John (Rosemarie) Barczak of Ontario, Canada.

No calling hours will be observed.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday (May 28, 2020) at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Cambridge, with Father Paul Hrezo officiating. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge, with military honors conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to one of the following: 1) Christ Our Light Parish; or 2) The St. Vincent DePaul Society, in care of Christ Our Light Parish.
