Glen Allen Long, 63, of Quaker City passed away peacefully Saturday (June 10, 2023) at Morrison House, Zanesville OH. Glen fought his battle with ALS with courage, strength, and dignity; never losing his sense of humor.
Glen was born December 28, 1959, and was the son of the late Roger and Marjorie Long. Son-in-law of Becky (George) Saltz and Duryl (Sue) Mallet.
Glen was a loving husband to his wife Lori, a loving father to Emily and Jessica and his sons-in-law, and a very special papaw to Hudson and Emmet. Glen retired from Colgate-Palmolive. He enjoyed any time with his grandsons, golfing, traveling to Myrtle
Beach with his family, gardening, grilling, rock-n-roll, going to movies, 4-wheeling and all family activities. He was a special friend to many.
Glen is survived by his two daughters, Emily (Zander) Shumar and Jessica (Cody) Hudson of the family farm, mother Marjorie Long, sister Rhonda Long, sister-in-law Denise (Steve) Watson, nephews; Stephen (Carissa) Watson and Hunter Watson, niece Alexis (JD) Hesson, great nephews Tucker, Crew, and Tripp Watson.
Glen was preceded in death by a son Blake Holden Long, his wife Lori Long and Father Roger Long.

Public graveside services will be held Wednesday at 12PM (June 14, 2023) in Friends Cemetery, Quaker City OH with Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh officiating. No calling hours will be held.
