Glenn C. "Gibby" Gibson

Glenn C. "Gibby" Gibson, 74, of Cambridge passed away Saturday (July 27, 2013) at SEORMC. He was born July 25, 1939 in Cambridge and was the son of the late Lorain and Marjorie (Berg) Gibson. Mr. Gibson retired from N.C.R. where he worked in maintenance as a welder. He was a member of Lebanon Presbyterian Church and was a Navy veteran and was involved in the Bay of Pigs Blockade. He enjoyed bicycling, kayaking and riding four wheelers. He is survived by his wife Lorna (Polen) Gibson whom he married July 26, 1965; three sons, Loren (Angie) Gibson, Travis (Shelley) Gibson and Tye Gibson all of Cambridge; one daughter Shaun Gibson of Cambridge; one brother Larry (Marian) Gibson of Cambridge; two sisters, Barbara Taylor of Cambridge and Judy (Jay) Wells of Sacramento, CA.; five grandchildren, Alan, Kelby, Trevor, Cameron and Carissa; three great grandchildren, Madison, Ethan and Presleigh; friend and caregiver Shannon Klass. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5-9 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge where services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday with Rev. Jim Gibson officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Herman Cemetery with military services conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
