Gloria Jean Perdue, 61, of Barnesville, died Wednesday (November 2, 2011) at Wheeling Hospital. She was born May 25, 1950 in Hamlin WV, daughter of the late William Dailey Martin and Arbelle Mariah (McCallister) Martin. Mrs. Perdue was a faithful servant of the Quaker City Amish Community, providing them with transportation for many years. She was a 1996 graduate of Muskingum Area Technical College, where she earned a paralegal degree. She was an avid attendant of the Barnesville Boosters Bingo. She also enjoyed traveling. Most of all, she loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Perdue; and a grandson, Tanner Perdue. She is survived by a son, Thurman (& Tracy) Perdue of Ava; five daughters, Donna (& Ron) Campbell of Cambridge, Judy (& Eric) Meahl of Bedford, Tonya (& Mike) Pangle of Quaker City, Tamela Findley of Cambridge, and Tabitha (& Jeff) Christmas of Newcomerstown; a brother, William Dailey Martin of Cuyahoga Falls; a sister, Brenda (& Glenn) Moyer of Rittman; eighteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends. Family and friends will be received on Saturday (November 12, 2011) from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Central Christian Church of Quaker City, where a memorial service will begin at 5 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh officiating. A memorial dinner will follow at the Garfield Hall of the Central Christian Church. Graveside services will be held Monday (November 14, 2011) at the Greenwood Cemetery, Mogadore, with Pastor Tim Jensen officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Thorn-Black Funeral Homes, Inc.
