Grace Marie Milburn, 83, of Cambridge, went to be with her lord and savior on Monday, March 20, 2023, surrounded by family at her home.
She was born April 8, 1939, in Norfolk, Virginia, daughter of the late Waldo Elrick Schaaf and Grace Marie Culpepper.
Mrs. Milburn was a lifelong homemaker and member of the International Foursquare Gospel Church.
Grace was an avid reader who loved flowers, enjoyed crocheting, taking trips to Amish Country, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Katherine Danita Smith, a grandson, Brandon Pieper, a brother, Bud Shepard, and two sisters; Nancy Hanvey and Jane Caler.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-nine years, Pastor Kenneth Daniel Milburn, of the home, whom she married on October 16, 1954, two sons; Dan (& Jody) Milburn and Chuck Milburn of Cambridge, two daughters; Marlene (& David) Winland and Grace (& Joe) Pieper of Cambridge, a brother, Tommy (& Teresa) Shepard of Portsmouth, VA, five sisters; Denise Weast and Eva Treece, both of Christianburg, VA, Sherry (& John) Cox of London, KY, Ginny (& Marvin) Fulcher of Coinjock, NC, and Rose Marie Davis from London, KY, a brother, Michael Hogan of Sherwood, AR, a son-in-law, Keith Smith, twenty-three grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and good friends.
Thorn-Black Funeral Home in Cambridge has been entrusted with arrangements.
No calling hours or funeral service will be held at this time.
A memorial service in her honor will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 11:00 am, doors will be open at 10:00, at the Southern Hills Baptist Fellowship, 127 West 8th Street, Cambridge, Ohio.
