Grace Luella Robinson

September 6, 1934 — August 29, 2020

Grace Luella (McMahon) Robinson

Grace passed away at 6:35 (August 29, 2020) as the light was returning to the sky as God created a new day – morning, her favorite time of day.  Grace Luella McMahon was born September 6, 1934 to Charles Lee McMahon and Cora Luella (Geese) McMahon in Cambridge, Ohio.

A life-long resident of Cambridge, she graduated from Cambridge High School with the class of 1952. On June 20, 1953 she married William Everett Robinson (who preceded her in death on October 6, 2009) and two years later, they welcomed a son William Lee Robinson and then a daughter Susan Joann Robinson in 1959.  She was employed with RCA and NCR for over 50 years.

Her greatest joy in life was her family consisting of three sisters, Beverly (Orville) McLain, both deceased, Viola (Glenn) Deal, both deceased, Betty (Jack, deceased) Cline of Cambridge; two brothers, Charles (Jean) McMahon of Cambridge, and Raymond, deceased (Anne) McMahon of Cambridge; one son William (Mary) Robinson of Zanesville; one daughter Susan (Karl) Leachman of Norwich; three grandchildren, Jason (Heather) Leachman of Zanesville, Ashley (Sean, deceased) Wilkinson of Zanesville and Melissa (Curtis) Ziegler of New Concord; four great grandchildren, Brock and Bristyl Leachman, Justyce Clifton, and Chloe Wilkinson, many nieces and nephews.

Grace was happiest, aside from time with family, when helping others.  She was a wonderful pie baker which she shared with family and friends and provided for many church functions.  Her specialties were fresh peach and black raspberry.  Few who knew her went without her fudge at Christmas time, her other loves were reading and quilting.  She pieced over 65 quilts which she used in her home and shared with family and friends.

Arrangements will be provided by Thorn-Black Funeral Home, 139 S. 9 th Street, Cambridge with calling hours Wednesday (September 2nd) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In keeping with COVID-19 restrictions, only a graveside service will be held at Guernsey Memory Gardens, 10171 East Pike Rd., Cambridge, on Thursday (September 3 rd ) at 11:00 a.m. Pastors officiating will be Rev. David Mansperger.  Those attending the graveside service will need to arrive at the funeral home between 10:00 and 10:30 a.m. to prepare for funeral procession to the cemetery for the 11:00 service.
