H. Kenneth Keylor, 91, of Quaker City, died Sunday (December 23, 2018) at his home.
He was born April 16, 1927 in Belmont County, son of the late Homer Keylor and Mildred (Rosengrant) Keylor.
A 1945 graduate of Old Washington High School, Mr. Keylor had worked as a drag line operator in the coal mines for many years.
He was a member of the Stop Nine Church of Christ.
He was a member of the Kirkwood Masonic Lodge, a member for over fifty years with the Pennyroyal Ruritans, and a founding member of the Pennyroyal Bluegrass Association. He helped with the Fairview Cemetery for many years and was passionate about its caretaking.
Mr. Keylor was a US Navy veteran, having served during WWII.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Stephen K. Keylor and Stuart A. Keylor; a brother, Richard Keylor; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda (Johnson) Keylor, whom he married April 3, 1948; two sons, Michael (& Sherri) Keylor of Bellefontaine and Mark Keylor (& Beth Leach) of Barnesville; a daughter, Kimberly (& Robert "Zoo") Smith of Quaker City; seven grandchildren, Missy (& Kenny) Burris, Amy (& Neal) Hollingshead, Derek Keylor, Cassidy Keylor, Ashley (& Lance) Bailey, Mallory (& Tommy) Carpenter, and Zachary Smith; twelve great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a brother-in-law, Jimmie (& Mary) Johnson.
Visitation will be held Thursday (December 27, 2018) from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held Friday (December 28, 2018) at 11 a.m. with Evang. Mark Beros officiating.
Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
