H. Vaughn Ousley, 56, of Cambridge, passed away Thursday (Aug. 15, 2013) at his home. Mr. Ousley was born Dec. 28, 1956, in Prestonburg, Ky., son of Curtis and Vivian Morris Ousley of Southpoint. Vaughn was the owner-operator of H.C.I. Consulting, working in the oil industry. He was a graduate of Southpoint High School and attended Marietta College for wild well control. He sponsored several dirt track race cars, and was an owner and mechanic with many of his own race cars. Vaughn's spirit, enthusiasm and loving smile will be with each and everyone who ever had the privilege of knowing him. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Kathy Parry Ousley of Cambridge, whom he married on Sept. 2, 2004; a son, Christopher (Sara) K. Ousley of Cambridge, and a daughter, Kristen (Michael) N. Campbell of Medina; two sisters, Sheila (Lionel) Finch of Alliance and Belinda (Ross) McCollum of Southpoint; two grandchildren, Bridgett and Kelly Campbell, both of Medina; and his nieces and nephews, Britnie, Joey, Lyndsey, Brian, Chrissy and Stacie. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday (August 20, 2013) with the Rev. Sturman Moore officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, New Concord. As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Vaughn's name to Hospice of Guernsey Inc., PO Box 1165, Cambridge OH 43725.
