H. Raymond Wagstaff

H. Raymond Wagstaff, 89, of Cambridge, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022, at SEORMC.

He was born September 17, 1932, in Cambridge, a son of the late Raymond and Rose (Canel) Wagstaff.

H. Raymond was a 1951 graduate of Lore City High School. He worked for 25 years as a Press Operator at Philips Products, many years Universal Pottery, and retired from Heinz in Florida.

He loved listening and dancing to music with his wife. He was a Methodist by Faith.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Verna Sue (Johnson) Wagstaff, whom he married on July 31, 1981, and passed away March 18, 2019. He is also preceded in death by his two sisters, Susie Bonham, and Mona Wolfe.

He is survived by his daughters, Pamela Cain of Alliance, Karen (Sharon) Wagstaff of Cambridge, and Renee Schockling of Alliance, his stepdaughter, Jacqueline Compton of Muscatine IA, his son, Danny Wagstaff of North Canton, his very special niece, Diane Schupbach, along with many other nieces, nephews, and several grand and great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Thursday, April 21, 2022, from 11:00 AM- 12:00 PM with services to immediately follow at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Cambridge. Interment will be held at Northwood Cemetery. Pastor Mark Slay will be officiating.

Family and Friends are welcome, but due to COVID- 19 please take all necessary precautions to ensure your safety and everyone else's should you decide to attend.
