Harold D. House, 80, of Cambridge, died Saturday (January 28, 2017) at Countryview Assisted Living Center, Lore City. He was born February 23, 1936 in Guernsey County, son of the late Carl House and Helen May (Whitney) House. Mr. House retired after forty-three years with Champion Spark Plug and was a member of the UAW. Later, he worked as a vocational trainer for Six County. He was a member of both Christ United Methodist Church and Harvest Christian Fellowship Church. Mr. House enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Ann (Kirkman) House, who died December 9, 2007. They were married November 22, 1969. Also deceased is a son, Tim House; a sister, Shirley Payne; a son-in-law, Raymond Anderson; and a nephew, Brian Payne. He is survived by a son, Michael D. (& Angela) House of New Concord; four daughters, Stephanie (& Darren) Morgan of Batesville, Kimberly Conrad of Cambridge, Sandra Anderson of Barnesville, and Carrie (& Scott) Wheeler of Old Washington; a brother-in-law, Richard Payne of New Concord; a sister-in-law, Karen (& Bob) Wheatley of Cambridge; fourteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Private visitation was held for the family. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday (February 4, 2017) at the Christ United Methodist Church, Cambridge, with Pastor Sturman Moore officiating. As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Countryview Assisted Living Center, 62825 County Home Road, Lore City OH 43755.
