Harold James Lanning

Harold James Lanning, 56, of Cambridge, died Saturday (February 12, 2011) at his home. He was born October 4, 1954 in Cambridge, son of Verta (Pennington) Lanning and the late Harold Robert Lanning. Mr. Lanning had worked as a chef on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. He was a US Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his mother, Verta Lanning of Cambridge; two brothers, Dennis Lanning of Cambridge and John (& Dianna) Lanning of Cambridge; and two sisters, Lisa Lanning of Cambridge and Sandra Johnson of Cambridge. Family and friends may call on Wednesday (February 16, 2011) from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where a memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. Military honors will be conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
