Harriet E. (Andrews) Gander

Harriet E. (Andrews) Gander, 77, of Cambridge, passed away Thursday (March 25, 2010) at her residence. She was born January 10, 1933 in Easton, Pennsylvania, daughter of Bernice Henning and the late Herbert Andrews. Harriet was a teacher with the Rolling Hills School District for over 30 years. She was a graduate of Ohio University in Athens. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Andrews. She is survived by three children, Van A. Gander of Columbus, David G. Gander II of Cambridge and Deanna E. Childers of Texas; her mother, Bernice Henning of E. Stroudsburg PA; two grandchildren, Brock A. Childers and Delaney Gander. In keeping with her wishes, no calling hours or services will be observed. Scattering of her ashes will be private and take place at a later date. Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, is handling arrangements.
