Harry C. Durben

Harry C. Durben, 91, of Cambridge, died Sunday (July 8, 2007) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. He was born on December 25, 1915 in North Salem, son of the late Jasper M. Durben and Katherine (McKee) Durben. Mr. Durben worked at the Goshen Brickyard in Newcomerstown for many years. He attended the North Salem Church. Mr. Durben was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II. He was a member of the Cambridge V.F.W. Post 2901. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters, and a granddaughter. He leaves two sons, Milton (& Judy) Durben of Cambridge and James Durben of Cambridge; four daughters, Sandy (& Fritz) Henry of Newcomerstown, Jane Guin of Arkansas, Darlene (& Jerry) Johnson of Cadiz and Sherry (& Charles) Blankenship of Kimbolton; thirty-one grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and a former daughter-in-law, Donna Rominger. No calling hours will be observed. Graveside services will be held on Monday (July 9, 2007) at 3 p.m. at the North Salem Cemetery, with Rev. Richard Wilson officiating. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council. Memorial contributions may be made to the Guernsey County Veterans Council, P.O. Box 302, Cambridge OH 43725.
