Harvey Edwin "Ed" Warne, 83, of Old Washington, died Monday (November 5, 2007) at his home. He was born on July 19, 1924 in Center Township (Guernsey County), son of the late Rudolph K. Warne and Annabelle (Olden) Warne. Mr. Warne was an independent livestock hauler for sixty year. He was a breeder of Percheron horses and a member of the Percheron Horse Breeders Association. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Mr. Warne was a former Wills Township Trustee for twelve years and also a twenty-eight-year member of the Guernsey County Fair Board. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Evelyn (Hutchison) Warne, who died on January 31, 1990. They were married on December 23, 1949. Also deceased are two brothers, Clarence Warne and Craig Warne; and a sister, Lucille Larrick. He leaves two sons, B. Eddie Warne of Cambridge and Harvey J. Warne of Lore City; a daughter, Becky Brown of Lore City; four grandchildren, Toni (& Greg) Bates of Quaker City, Scott (& Debbie) Brown, Trudi (& Sean) Scott and Jason Eddie Warne all of Cambridge; four great-grandchildren, Julie Bates, Jessica Bates, Skylar Richmond and Breck Richmond; two step-great-grandchildren, Dustin Gable and Danielle Gable; and a step-great-great-granddaughter, Jader. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will be held on Thursday (November 8, 2007) at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
