Helen M. Burris

Helen M. Bragg Burris, age 87, of Cambridge, died on Wednesday (January 5, 2011) at Autumn Health Care, Cambridge. She was born August 6, 1923 in Tyner (Guernsey County), the daughter of the late Lulu Morris Oakley and Grover Cleveland Oakley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Arthur F. Bragg; a granddaughter, Valerie Bragg; sisters, Mary Lou Bishard and Elizabeth Bell; a step-son, Lee Burris; her first husband, Ernest F. Bragg in 1964; and her second husband, Carey L. Burris in 2003. She is survived by two daughters, Rebecca A. Neff (Arthur) of Spring Valley and Sandra A. Gray (Paul) of Kimbolton; a step-son, Harold Eugene Burris (Linda) of Cambridge; three grandsons, Mitchell Gray (Sandi) of Shreve, Eric Gray (Allyson) of Shreve, and Stacy Bragg of Livingston MT; a granddaughter, Kristina Renner (Adam) of Hilliard; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Bragg of Livingston MT; five great-grandchildren, Sean Gray, Jordon Gray, Trace Gray, Kylee Gray, and Elizabeth Renner; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and four nieces, Grace Patterson, Martha Hostutler, Ruth Gray, and Janet Shaffer. At Helen's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private graveside service will be held at Kimbolton Cemetery, with Pastor James C. Garrett officiating.
