Helen Louise (Fenwick) Laughman

Helen Louise (Fenwick) Laughman, 76 , of Cambridge, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 29, 2022, surrounded by her family at home.

Helen was born May 21, 1946, in Cambridge, Ohio, a daughter to the late John and Teresa (Donovan) Fenwick. She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1964. She was a hairdresser for many years before working for ODOT and eventually retiring.

She was a member of the Byesville VFW and was past president of Women's Auxiliary, past district junior vice and was always actively involved. She loved going to the VFW and seeing her friends and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her dogs.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Don Fenwick, a sister Chris (Fenwick) Williams, and a grandson Thomas Laughman.

Helen is survived by two sons, Tom (& Joy) Laughman of Cambridge, Bill (& Lisa) Laughman of Cambridge, two daughters Amy (& Amanda) Gordon of Cambridge, Rachael Ball of Byesville, a brother John (& Dorene) Fenwick, two sisters Mary (& Rich) Kawa of Byesville, Kate (& John) Rayburn of Cambridge, nine grandchildren, Alexis Clark, Alex Foley, Kayla Heskett, Amber Roberts, Teresa Ball, Gage and Brooke Laughman, and Donavan and Loukas Laughman, several great grandchildren,  and several nieces and nephews. Also left to cherish her memory is the father of her children and the love of her life, Tom Laughman Sr, her beloved dogs Zeus and Thor and many good friends.

There will be calling hours Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Cambridge from 11am to 1pm with the funeral service immediately to follow. Father Paul Hrezo will officiate. The burial will take place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Cambridge.
