Herbert L. Price, 70, of Cambridge, died Tuesday (January 19, 2010) at his home. He was born January 16, 1940 in Cleveland OH, son of the late Charles Herbert Price and Dorathy (Orbin) Price. Mr. Price served in the US Navy for twenty years. He also worked at the Cambridge City Police Department and then later as the supervisor of transportation for the Cambridge City Schools. He was a life member of VFW Post 2901 and a member DAV Chapter 28. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vicki Rae (Triplett) Price, who died December 5, 2008. They were married for sixteen years. Also deceased is a son, David Price; and a sister and brother-in-law, Delores & Tom Tennant. He is survived by two sons, Jamie (& Renee) Price of Cambridge and Raymond Price (& Trish Keith) of Zanesville; two daughters, Jennifer Pointer of Cambridge and Amy Price (& Anthony Pridgeon Sr.) of Cambridge; a brother, Jim (& Carrie) Price of Ashville; a sister, Patty (& Don) Hague of Painesville; eight grandchildren, Michael Price, Adam Price, Sarah Price, Addie Pointer, Ariana Keith, Jonathon Keith, Anthony Pridgeon Jr. and Nicholas Pridgeon; and several nieces & nephews. Family and friends may call on Saturday (January 23, 2010) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Chuck Simpson officiating. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge, with military graveside services conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
