Herman H. Casterline

Herman H. Casterline, 86, of Byesville, died Friday (November 28, 2014) at Red Carpet Health Care Center, Cambridge. He was born January 14, 1928 in Old Washington, son of the late Fred Casterline and Ida (Thatcher) Casterline. Mr. Casterline had worked at Cambridge Glass House, Byesville Electric, and Dolan's Barbershop. He also did errands for many other downtown businesses. He was a member of the former Byesville Free Methodist Church. He was a fan of NASCAR, especially of Jeff Gordon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. He is survived by a sister, Mildred Pickenpaugh of Senecaville; a number of nieces and nephews; and his many friends in the Byesville business community, including the Tom Dolan family of Buffalo. No calling hours will be observed. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Friday (December 5, 2014) at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville. Memorial contributions may be made to Thorn-Black Funeral Home (139 S 9th St, Cambridge OH 43725) to assist with burial expenses.
