Hester Neiswonger

June 19, 1913 — November 4, 2006

Hester (Yoho) Neiswonger, 93, of Quaker City, passed away Saturday (November 4, 2006) at her home. She was born June 19, 1913 in Buffalo Township/Noble County, daughter of the late William Emmit Yoho and Lelah (Larrick) Yoho. Mrs. Neiswonger was a homemaker and she also worked for ten years as a cook for the Walton Nursing Home of Barnesville. She was a member of Quaker City United Methodist Church and a member of the WSCS. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Neiswonger; a son, Walter Neiswonger; a daughter, Winona May Neiswonger; a brother, Charles Yoho; and six sisters, Dora Tidd, Ellen Porter, Bertha Taylor, Lois Bush, Shirley Sells and Bessie Hively. She leaves three sons, Gerald Neiswonger of Quaker City, Dallas Neiswonger of Salesville and Lanny Neiswonger of Quaker City; a daughter, Charlene Bailey of Bethesda; eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and many nieces & nephews. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City, where services will be held on Wednesday (November 8, 2006) at 11 a.m. with Rev. Wayne Hogue officiating. Burial will be at Friends Cemetery, Quaker City, on Tuesday (November 14, 2006) at 11:00 a.m.
