Howard Dennis, 80, of Cambridge, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2026, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.

Howard was born on July 1, 1946, in Cambridge, a son of the late Charles and Ada (Starr) Dennis.

Howard was a graduate of Old Washington High School. Howard was a United States Army Veteran and served in Vietnam. Howard worked as a farmer and realtor for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gambling, and spending time with his grandkids. Howard loved the Ohio State Buckeyes and Buckeye Trail Sports and was an avid supporter of the Buckeye Trail FFA and the Industrial Arts Program. He was a member of Chandlersville Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters.

Howard is survived by his wife, Karen DiGenova, whom he married on December 29, 2019; his sons, Trenton (Tasha) Dennis of Lore City and Troy (Meagan) Dennis of Lore City; his daughter, Trista (Ryan) Travis of Big Pine Key, FL; his grandchildren, Ava and Knox Dennis, Addison, Zane, and Quinn Travis, and Kason and Korbin Dennis; his bonus grandchildren, Bryson Scobie, Nolan and Colin Ford, and Garrett and Carter George; his special niece, Eva Erwin and many good friends.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 12PM-2PM with the service to immediately follow at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Quaker City with Pastor Eddie Warne officiating. Burial will follow at Friends Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Buckeye Trail FFA and Industrial Arts Program or the charity of your choice.
