Howard Gene Hutchison

Howard Gene Hutchison, 84, of Norwich, died Wednesday (January 19, 2022) at his home.

He was born June 5, 1937 in Belmont County, son of the late Wilson Hutchison and Martha (Gay) Hutchison.

A 1956 graduate of New Concord High School, Gene retired from the Aircraft Braking Systems of Akron.

He enjoyed yardwork, cutting wood, and going to Myrtle Beach, Siesta Key, and Disney.  He also enjoyed going to the New Concord Circle K to get a "Froster" and spending time with his "Coffee Buddies".

Everywhere Gene traveled, he either ran into someone he knew or he made a new friend.

He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church of Cambridge.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Howard Hutchison Jr.; a daughter, Nancy Stewart; six brothers; four sisters; and two infant siblings.

He is survived by his wife, Toni (Cook) Hutchison, whom he married January 1, 1993; two stepdaughters, Tricia (Dale) Huston of Norwich and Amy (Frank) Redder of Cambridge; a daughter, Donna Frye of Akron; fourteen grandchildren, including four very special grandchildren, Neleah Huston, Keegan Huston, Jacob Miller, and Marcus Miller; many nieces, nephews, and good friends; and his "Coffee Buddies".

No calling hours will be observed.  No funeral services will be held at this time.
