Howard "Buzzy" Oliver Watson

Howard "Buzzy" Oliver Watson, 81, of Cambridge, died Wednesday (November 28, 2018) at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville

He was born May 29, 1937 in Salesville, son of the late Paul E. Watson and Elizabeth (Milhone) Watson.

Mr. Watson retired after 33 ½ years as an inspector with O.D.O.T.

He was a member of the Quaker City Masonic Lodge # 500 F. & A.M., the Tennessee Walker Association, and the American Haflinger Association.

Mr. Watson was a member of the Center United Methodist Church. He especially enjoyed his fellowship with the United Methodist Men.

He is survived by his wife, Rosa Bernadine (Hawkins) Hinson Watson, whom he married July 26, 1993; a daughter, Debra Kay and Steve Ensminger of Zanesville; five sisters, Lois and Paul Dearth of Zanesville, Eleanor Blackstone of Cambridge, Ruth and Jim Hoops of Pleasant City, Beverly and Jim Murphy of Pleasant City, and Barbara and Duane Meek of Arizona; a stepson, Steve and Betty Hinson of Cambridge; two stepdaughters, Carol and Montie Hunter of Cambridge and Nancy and Jim Latchic of Akron; his grandchildren, Kristin and Chad Parker, Kasi Kerns, Allen and Harriett Hunter, Chris and Susan Hunter, Kurt and Courtney Campbell, Aaron and Mandy Shaffer, Joe and Jessica Hinson, Bob and Alica Hinson, Jeremy and Megan Latchic, and Jay and Amy Latchic; his great-grandchildren, Caden Parker and Cohen Parker; his step-great-grandchildren, Zack Hunter, Austin Hunter, Madison Hunter, Alexis Hunter, Colby Campbell, Brody Shaffer, Dakota Hinson, Taylor Hinson, Carson Hinson, Emma Hinson, Grady Latchic, and Luke Latchic; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday (November 30, 2018) from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, and also Saturday (December 1, 2018) from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Funeral services will be held Saturday (December 1, 2018) at 11 a.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, with Pastor Matt Wilson officiating.

Burial will be at Friends Cemetery, Quaker City.

As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Center United Methodist Church, 11026 Cadiz Road, Cambridge OH 43725.
