Ica Mae (Hardy) Black, 68, of Cambridge passed away Tuesday (May 4, 2010) at SEORMC. She was born August 10, 1941 in Noble County and was the daughter of the late George and Betsy C. (Shimp) Conner Sr. Ica was a 35 year member, volunteer and a member of the Home League at the Salvation Army. She was also member of the Guernsey County Senior Center. She attended Abundant Life Pentecostal and Good Shepherd Foursquare Gospel Churches. She also conducted church services at various nursing homes. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant brother Rusty. She is survived by her husband, Bernard Black whom she married December 18, 2005; one daughter, Tonya Hardy of Cambridge; two brothers, Charles (Dixie) Conner of Caldwell and George (Sherri) Conner of Cambridge; several nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews and numerous friends; her pets, King her dog and Pearly her Cockatoo. Calling hours will be Thursday from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge where services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday with Rev. William Cain officiating. Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery.
