We believe that Ivan arrived at his Heavenly home on Sunday, March 22, 2026. Ivan was born on the Rose family farm, near Salesville, Ohio, on January 18, 1939, to the late Albert and Margaret (Carman) Rose. He was predeceased by his younger sister, Anna. He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Jenny, and sons, Brandon, Ivan, and Byran, and his niece, Monica.
Those who knew him knew his love for pulling tractors. He pulled nationally in many states and local areas. His fondest achievement was winning his class points and championship pull at the NATPA championship pull in Columbia, MO, with his Farmall H.
He retired from Roadway Express after twenty-five years as an over-the-road professional truck driver. He was a lifelong farmer, initially raising Polled Hereford and Latter Angus Cattle.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 12PM-1PM at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Quaker City, with a graveside service to immediately follow at Friends Cemetery with Pastor Eschbaugh officiating.
