"Jack" John Charles Lewis, 66, of Cambridge, died Saturday (July 24, 2010) at his home. He was born July 21, 1944 in Cambridge, son of the late Edgell Lewis and Catherine (Curran) Lewis. Mr. Lewis was a computer technician. He was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church of Cambridge (Christ Our Light Parish). He was a 1962 graduate of St. Benedict High School. Mr. Lewis was a member of the Elks Club of Cambridge. He enjoyed fishing and was a lifelong fan of The Ohio State University football team. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, George Lewis; and a grandson, Randy Smith II. He is survived by two sons, Chuck (& Rachel) Lewis of Eaton and Shawn Paul Lewis of Cambridge; two daughters, Kimberly Lucas of New Concord and Christine Bundy of New Philadelphia; a brother, James (& Diane) Lewis of Roanoke VA; five grandchildren, Jordan Lewis, Cameron Lewis, Lee Ann Beech, Dale Bundy Jr. and Cassandra Lewis; six great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Barbara Lewis of Westerville; an aunt, Margaret Westcott of Cambridge; many nieces and nephews; and his close friends, Jack Emde of Cambridge, Mary Garner of New Concord and Brian Jordan of Westerville. No calling hours will be observed. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday (July 28, 2010) at 6 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, with Father John Sebold officiating. As an expression of sympathy, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to 1) Guernsey County Cancer Society; or 2) St. Benedict Catholic Church.
