Jack G. Cline, 78, of Cambridge, died Thursday (July 1, 2010) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. He was born May 10, 1932 in Cadiz, son of the late Asal P. Cline and Faye R. (Baker) Cline. Mr. Cline worked as a supervisor for Champion Spark Plug for thirty-four years. He was a member of the Good Shepherd Four Square Gospel Church of Cambridge. Mr. Cline was a US Navy veteran, having served during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW Post 2901 and also a member of Masonic Lodge #66 F & AM. He enjoyed hunting. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Forest Cline. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean (McMahon) Cline of the home, whom he married February 17, 1990; a son, Jud (& Paula) Cline of Cambridge; four daughters, Jody (& Ralph) Sarkiewicz of Cambridge, Julie (& Scott) Bishop of Cambridge, Tonya (& Kevin) Gatewood of Canal Fulton and Erica (& Fjodor) Haxhi of New York City NY; and six grandchildren, Britani (& Jason) Galloway, Nick Bishop, Tanner Balik, Brock Cline, Jordie Gatewood and Quaid Gatewood. Family and friends may call on Monday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will be held on Tuesday (July 6, 2010) at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be at Center Cemetery, with military graveside services conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
