Jack Grant Ogle

August 20, 1947 — February 10, 2019

Jack Grant Ogle, 71, of Byesville, passed away Sunday (February 10, 2019) at Riverside Methodist Hospital surrounded by his family.

Jack was born August 20, 1947 in Cambridge and was the son of the late Albert Ogle Sr. and Edith Spencer.

He was an Army veteran who served in Vietnam.  He was a mechanic by trade, and worked at Hamilton Beach and LDM/Plastech where he made many friends.

Jack married Janet Irene Holloway on November 15, 1969.  They loved camping with family and his trips with Janet to do "whatever they wanted to do."  He loved a good game of cards or dominoes with family, and his laugh when he won will always be remembered and cherished. He also enjoyed his euchre days at the VFW and lunches at Coney Island.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Janet; brother and best friend John L. Ogle.

He is survived by his children, Jacquelyn " Jackie" (Dave – the son he never had) Eibel of Byesville, and Jennifer "Jennie" Asher of Kimbolton; special "favorite daughter" Tammy (Doug) Green of Cambridge; grandchildren, Alexa (Mike) Wolverton, BJ Grindstaff, Chris Eibel & fiancé Kylie Cogswell, Paige Eibel and Cecilee Grindstaff; great grandson Camden Grindstaff; siblings, Mary Ellen Palmer of New Concord, Albert (Karen) Ogle of Cambridge, Maxine (Lyle) Shaw of Byesville, Eileen Hess of Cambridge, and Chuck Ogle of Byesville; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge where services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Dan Milburn officiating.  Burial will follow in Northwood Cemetery.  Military graveside services will be conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
