Jackie L. Neuhart, 82, of Old Washington, passed away Thursday (Nov. 22, 2012) at Southeastern Med in Cambridge. He was born Oct. 5, 1929, in Noble County, son of the late Bert and Lillian (Carpenter) Neuhart. Mr. Neuhart was retired from Seminole Tubular, having worked in the shipping department. He was a member of the U.S. Trotting Association and U.K.C. Coon Hound Association. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed harness racing, having owned and raced various horses throughout his lifetime. After retirement, he enjoyed going to county fairs and watching races. He also enjoyed gardening and coon hunting with his grandson, Josh. In addition to his parents , he was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl and Kenneth Neuhart. Jackie is survived by his wife, Fannie L. (Shipley) Neuhart, whom he married April 15, 1955; a daughter; Brenda (Vernon) Beynon of Cambridge; three sisters, Helen Baker of Quaker City, Marjorie Kunash of Lore City and Patsy Lafferty of Newcomerstown; two grandchildren, Troy (Alicia) Beynon and Joshua (Lexie Gantzer) Beynon. Friends will be received Monday, Nov. 26 from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1:30 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. Burial will follow in Guernsey Memory Gardens. Military graveside honors will be conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council. Memorial contributions may be made to the Guernsey County Veterans Council, P.O. Box 572, Cambridge, OH 43725-0572.
